shoe dilemma

So i ordered all my shoes early last week (6 am Sunday Morning to be exact) and I was so excited. I was convinced  that I was going to love them all and have such a hard time picking between the three of them

I bought these two pairs on Zappos. These could be sent to my house in Auburn. Well I received these shoes on Thursday and things were really looking up. I was SO excited to open the box. When I opened them, I hated both pairs. I didn't even bother to try them on. The white pair in reality are a dark ivory white and looked old ladyish. The pink pair's bow was HUMONGOUS and going no where near my feet. I was so bummed.  So it was down to the last pair which were sent to my parent's house in Florida.

Lovely
These were the ones that my mom loved and I loved BUT were two hundred dollars. THESE ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! I am in love. Of course my practical Maid of Honor, Kait, said, " you can't seriously be thinking about wearing those all day." She had a point. She has seen me at every stage of awkward and clumsy and there are some legit concerns there. Ignoring that, they are wonderful but it won't stop me from looking in ATL this weekend with my momma. I am thinking that my shoes could possibly have more bling....

new pact. I will break in my heels before my wedding... meaning I will be sporting these every night in July around the house. I'm thinking new fashion statement.... boxer shorts and evening shoes :)

When in Doubt....

When in doubt....BUY IT ALL! When your daddy sees his credit card bill....deny it all.

Well I needed to buy my shoes because on February 13th I will be seeing my wedding dress! And of course whats a dress without its accessories. But I really just couldn't decide what to buy so I got three? Excessive, maybe. Fabulous, yes.  I figured one pair is going to be more comfortable than all the rest so that pair would be the winner. These are the final contenders...
I have a feeling I won't like these. They are either going to be wonderful
or awful. They are also ivory, so they might look dirty next to my white dress.

great story about these...
So I call my mom up to tell her I ordered my shoes. She asks which ones I decide on so I told her the blue bottom ones and the pink ones. Then commences one of my mother's bigger freak outs of wedding planning.
It went a little something like this
Mom: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU GOT THE PINK ONES?! THAT IS GOING TO LOOK AWFUL. YOU ARE RUINING YOUR WHOLE LOOK. YOU ARE GOING TO BE UP ON THAT ALTER WITH PINK SHOES. YOU WOULD LIKE A PRINCESS UNTIL PEOPLE SEE YOUR PINK SHOES. DON'T YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE A PRINCESS?

Me: No one is going to see my shoes mother. And I really like pink. These shoes are very me

Mom: DO YOU THINK PRINCESS DIANA WORE PINK SHOES?

me: UM mother, Princess Diana actually married into royalty.  Now you are just getting my hopes up.

Mom: what happened to the shoes I liked?

This is where these shoes came in....I thought they were way too expensive. She disagreed. Bless her.
I have been eyeing these suckers since before we got engaged.
And don't think of me as crazy, think of me as planning ahead.
These are my mom's first choice and they will be the most expensive shoes
I will ever own if they win.

Taking a Break.

I'm taking a break from designing the wedding invitations (yes, I know what you are thinking...bad idea) and looking at something else that has been occupying my mind lately. I'm getting a new house next year with a boy roommate! This means that a whole new place to decorate! Bad news though is the boy roommate (Craig) will seriously disapprove of any pink or super girly-ness in our house. Ok I can compromise. I LOVE white comforters and am determined to have a super fluffy one. He has agreed to this.

Elements of Style

On another side note. My mom and I are having some major disagreements about the shoes. We have found all these pretty ones, but they are all four inches high. I have major issues with shoes in the first place and they rip my feet apart. We are trying to find shoes that I will wear all day and not end up barefoot. I think that these would be perfect. They are a perfect gold, wedges, and Lilly. Call me, text me, leave me a comment. Are these not appropriate for under a wedding dress?
I have a feeling the answer is no.

Final shoe choices

the countdown on my new calender

7 Months to Go! Right now I am sitting pretty with wedding stuff (minus the DJ) but I really want it to be 6 months to go because that will make it seem SO much closer. I will be panicking a little more around the sixth month mark. Anyways I have to start ordering my heels so I need some input! What do we like?? Here are some of the other options...

I am cutting myself off soon. I keep finding more shoes that I like and once spring shoes come in I will be done for. So here are some other ones I've found....
These are in the running because of the bottom.

What do these say to you?

Am I looking for payment?
Or Do I just love lots of sparkles?
Steve Madden 'Haylow' Sandal
These would make a statement....
I've tried them on for fun... I would look like a hooker. On my wedding day no less

new design

What was going to take 20 minutes turned into about a hour. I am much happier with this design than the purple one, kinda hard to read

lists

I am a huge fan of lists. Top of my list is passing senior year. It would be my last semester of college classes and I am panicking about not being able to make the grades for the first time in four years. As a result I am putting a hold on all wedding things until next Friday at 6 pm. This means no decisions, no researching, and certainly no wasting hours daydreaming.

But I will put up things that I have already planned or have ideas for :)

Here is the list of things to do during Thanksgiving Break:
1) talk to the DJ
2) make custom stamps
3) order save the dates
4) learn how to use Microsoft publisher
5) decision about a photographer...Bethany Brown its lookin good!
6) CAKE yummmm
7) collect supplies for my various projects... I'll share later this week
8) finish up addresses, which is mostly Craig's friends

In other news, I am obsessed with wedding shoes. Option # 1

That would be a four inch heel....face first down the aisle. More than likely
