daily summer make up

It is pretty well known that I don't wear a lot of make up or dress up around my house. I told my mom before I got married that I was going to be dressed cute around the house (as I write this I am still in my gym clothes from this morning). She laughed hysterically and told me to let her know how that worked out for me. I am usually in t's and nike shorts but I try to swipe some make up on to look decent when I answer the door or run to the store. I finally got a routine down that allows me to wear make up everyday with minimal effort. I owe this all to my clarisonic. It is seriously the best thing to happen to my skin since puberty. I don't feel like I have to wear foundation. Everything else is to brighten up my face and make me look awake!

lilly make up bag: it has a ruffle and it's adorable. the end

estee lauder resilience lift: I got this during one of their promotions and it is worth every penny.
I was an Olay girl but I felt like it made my skin feel slick and not all of their products have sunscreen.
This lotion is really light and smells AMAZING.  a little goes a long way so you get a lot of bang for your buck.

clinque brow shaper: I have gorilla eyebrows. for serious, they stick out at weird angles and have to get trimmed every three weeks. My friend introduced me to this and it smooths all the hairs and fills in so I have movie star eyebrows.

nars dolce vita: I have talked about this before but it seriously looks good on everyone! I love
the hint of shimmer in it.

nars laguna: it is the holy grail of bronzer. I tried to get the cheapie bronzer and it just wasn't the same
If you are really tan during the summer (like I used to be before we moved to Washington), the liquid
version is what you want. I used to throw it on after the beach and head to dinner.

bare minerals stroke of light: along with my clarisonic, I would say this is the other reason I don't have to wear foundation. It is truly the best thing in my make up bag. It covers dark circles really well and
doesn't crease throughout the day. I use whatever is left on my fingers after concealing my circles and blend it into the corner of my nose. It really makes a difference

benefit mascara: this is what I am currently using and I love it. I got it for free from Sephora, I am
not sure I will buy it because mascara has to be tossed pretty often. I usually stick to the drugstore aisle for this.

I look at this list and understand many of these items are not the cheapest. I can honestly say I will have each of these items (besides mascara, you are begging for an eye infection if you share yours or don't toss it every 2-3 months. trust me, I know) for 8+ months. Sephora sends out coupons fairly often and their points system adds up to awesome goodies. There are also bare minerals and estee lauder outlets that have great deals.

  1. Have you ever tried Bobbi Brown's bronzer? I'm kind of a slave to it, but am always wanting to try Laguna - but I can't commit!

  2. The Laguna bronzer looks kind of muddy on me for some reason, but I love that mascara and the blush. :)

  3. I've heard so many great things about that concealer. I think I'm going to have to pick up a tube. Like you, I'm also addicted to both NARS products and the Benefit mascara:) Great picks!
