some dining inspiration.

In Charleston we didn't have much of a dining area. It just was stuck in between the kitchen and living room. We still have an open floor plan but its a much bigger area and it needs some help! While we would really like a new kitchen table and chairs (mostly chairs, some of them might fall apart if we aren't careful) it won't be in the budget for awhile. So we are going to give the chairs a nice coat of spray paint, a DIY rug underneath, some pretty curtains, and a sideboard/buffet for extra tabletop space.

These are Ikea's Edland dressers. they are being discontinued but we picked them up at the Ikea in Seattle and they were on sale! So they still might have them at your local store.

Bold Stripes are in this year so I am thinking of taking this idea and using two bold colored (coral and turquoise) stripes at either end of the rug and grey stripes in the middle
