Charleston pulls on our heartstrings. We knew that we were going to go somewhere when he got home but it was a tough choice between Hawaii and Charleston. Hawaii is well Hawaii, breathtakingly beautiful. Charleston though is where the air smells like home, humidity clings to you like your favorite sweater (I love humidity... I am more than aware I am the only one), and traditions greet you like an old friend.

 We decided that Hawaii would be perfect for our next vacation when we had more time to plan and save. In three weeks we will be heading to Charleston to see Craig's family, have a date night that we can actually get dressed up for (damn you, Washington and your comfortable casual dress code), and of course, soak up as much sun as humanly possible.  With a click of a button confirming our airline reservation my spring dreams were realized.
