happy friday...

the first of the year! It is kind of blowing my mind that we are in January. I am trying to get back into the swing of things, however, January is proving to be the coldest, darkest month yet here.

 My oldest brother, Brendan is coming home from Afghanistan! I am so excited for my sister-in-law. Seeing your loved one for the first time after a long separation may be the best feeling in the entire world.  He left in June only two months after he got married so they are celebrating Christmas and honeymooning in Hawaii next week.

I am trying to finish up my desk (we have hit technical difficulties, if anyone knows a good way to paint on an ikea finish let me know!) and transform my guest bedroom into part office.  I am debating getting a shelf for above my desk. I can't decide if it will just get filled with clutter or not.

Craig and I are so excited for Downton Abbey season premiere, I am thinking about making scones and tea for the occasion. We also are going to catch the matinee of Les Mis. I am dying to see it!
