savannah review.

Savannah Review: We are glad we did it, but is it better than Charleston as people claim? Never. It is the smaller, not as safe (which is saying something), artsy step child to Charleston. We did enjoy all the pretty squares and the festival that was taking place. We went on a wonderful carriage ride that was private tour of Savannah and we saw the oldest Catholic Church in the city and the historic areas of Savannah.

Review of Paula Deen's restaurant "Lady and Sons". Great fried chicken but everything else was very commercial and not as personal as I hoped. They only serve the buffet on Sunday which should have been the first indicator that we should have not been there. I would try to go during the week when it is not as crowded and I would not get the buffet. Several people said that the food on the menu is much better.

Pondering life in the Azalea Inn. It was fun to stay at a B&B, it was made even better by the fact that they served carrot cake cupcakes for dessert. The owner was very nice and we enjoyed eating breakfast with her and the other guests and chatting. Overall though we think we are more hotel people than B&B. But the one we went to was awesome.

Favorite New Store: The Paris Market. Craig and I would must have spent an hour combing though this store looking at the eclectic mix of things. I really wanted to bring everything home that they had for Christmas but I restrained and only brought back a tiny tree for our table top.

P.S. happy 5 months to Nimitz, my puppy has gained 9 pounds in two weeks!
