We bought a glass console table when we first got married because we needed something for our narrow apartment hallway. It's functional but I don't think it necessarily fits in with our decor and the glass is constantly dusty and needs wiping down. As I was flipping through the new issue of Domino, the image below made it perfectly clear what I needed to do: find fabric and a seamstress pronto.

We are lacking some much needed storage so skirting the table will allow me to put baskets underneath for my art supplies that are e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. Also, I think those trays and the pocket change trinket (which will usually just collect my bobbi pins) are a match made in heaven.
